Treatment of erectile dysfunction, also known as impotence, is the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient to have sex. Erectile dysfunction may be caused by a variety of medical conditions. For a complete list of some of these conditions, see the label on your prescription. Tadafil is also used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension, a condition in which the heart muscle works by relaxing blood vessels and increasing blood flow to the lungs. Tadalafil belongs to a class of drugs known as phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It works by helping to widen the blood vessels in the penis, resulting in longer and firmer erections. Tadafil may be taken on an empty stomach or with a light meal. It is important to take tadalafil exactly as directed and to complete the full course of treatment as directed by your doctor. Tadalafil may take longer to start working if you take it with a heavy meal. Your doctor may want to test tadalafil for signs of low blood pressure before you take tadalafil. Cialis is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits of Cialis during pregnancy.
Cialis may make you dizzy or drowsy. Alcohol or certain medications may make this worse. Tell your doctor if you or your partner have experienced this or any of the following. Tell your doctor if you have had an allergic reaction to Cialis or similar ED medications or if you have had any side effects while taking Cialis.
